Feel calmer, clearer, and more in control again.
When life feels overwhelming
Life can look “fine” on the outside while feeling heavy on the inside. Maybe you’re:
Constantly overthinking or feeling on edge
Burned out from doing everything for everyone
Struggling with focus, follow-through, or motivation (ADHD)
Feeling irritable, numb, or emotionally drained
Losing yourself to perfectionism, people-pleasing, or pressure
Wondering if things will ever feel lighter
And for kids and teens:
Big emotions or meltdowns feel out of control
Worry shows up as stomachaches, school stress, or avoidance
ADHD makes life feel chaotic or overwhelming
Social situations feel confusing, intimidating, or exhausting
Transitions, bedtime, or homework bring daily battles
You don’t have to keep pushing through. Therapy gives you a grounded space to slow down, breathe, and feel like yourself again.
Meet Amy
Hi, I’m Amy Gregorie, LPCA, a therapist in Charleston, SC, providing both virtual therapy for adults and in-person therapy for kids and teens.
I help people move through anxiety, ADHD-related overwhelm, emotional burnout, and perfectionism so they can feel steady, confident, and connected again.
Before opening Calm Waters Counseling, I spent over a decade as a school counselor supporting children, teens, and families. That experience shaped my warm, practical, and down-to-earth approach to helping clients understand their emotions and create meaningful change.
My style is compassionate, curious, and always focused on helping you feel calmer, clearer, and more grounded.

The first session is a structured, gentle intake designed to help us get a clear picture of what’s going on and what you need.
For adults:
We talk through your concerns, your history with anxiety/ADHD/emotional stress, and what goals you want therapy to support. You’ll leave with a sense of your next steps and a plan tailored to you.For children & teens:
The initial appointment includes time with the caregiver and the child/teen. We focus on understanding your child’s emotions, patterns, strengths, and stressors. Sessions are developmentally appropriate - play-based for younger kids, activity- and conversation-based for teens.By the end of the intake, you’ll have a clear plan for therapy and what to expect moving forward.
